Description

Bernalillo County Groundwater Dashboard is a comprehensive web-based monitoring system developed by Bernalillo County's Natural Resource Services Section to track and display real-time groundwater data across over 300 wells throughout the county. The dashboard serves as a vital tool for stewardship of natural resources by providing public access to water level measurements, well details, and aquifer information collected by county staff on monthly, quarterly, and yearly schedules. Users can explore interactive maps showing well locations, view detailed hydrographs displaying water level elevation over time or depth to water measurements, and access comprehensive data tables that can be downloaded as Comma Separated Values (CSV) files for further analysis. The system monitors various well types including monitoring wells (MW) and utilizes different measurement techniques such as E-Line conductance devices, steel tape measurements, and acoustic sounders to ensure accurate water level data. Each well record includes essential information such as well identification (Well_IDKey), location coordinates, surface elevation, total depth, screen interval, and associated aquifer code, with measurements recorded at specific depths Below Measuring Point (bmp) and elevations Above Mean Sea Level (amsl). The dashboard's mission focuses on educating the public about groundwater protection and conservation while assisting with prudent development decisions and providing technical input for county policies and projects related to this vital water resource.
