Climate Mapper: Interactive tool for Climate Data Visualization and Analysis

Visit Application

Description

The Climate Mapper is a comprehensive web-based application that provides interactive mapping and visualization of past and projected climate and hydrology data for the contiguous United States. This powerful tool allows users to explore mean daily temperature patterns, precipitation, and other climate variables across different time scales—from real-time observations to long-term historical trends and future projections. Users can customize their analysis by selecting specific metrics, time periods, geographic regions, and display options through an intuitive interface that includes dropdown menus for variables, calendar periods, and location selection. The application features a color-coded map display with temperature scales ranging from 10°F to 100°F, enabling researchers, farmers, water managers, and other stakeholders to visualize climate patterns, assess regional variations, and make informed decisions based on both historical climate data and future climate scenarios for agricultural, fire management, water resources, and climate adaptation planning purposes.
