Description

New Mexico Riparian Habitat Map Version 2.0 Plus Web Viewer is an interactive Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping application developed by the New Mexico Conservation Information System that displays riparian habitat corridors across New Mexico and surrounding areas. The application features multiple data layers including Upper Rio Grande Version 2.0 Plus, Middle Rio Grande Version 2.0 Plus, Canadian Upper Pecos Version 2.0 Plus, Gila Region San Juan Version 2.0 Plus, Lower Pecos Tularosa Basin Version 2.0 Plus, and New Mexico Riparian Corridor Version 2.0 Plus, each represented by different colored polygons on the map (blue, purple, cyan, yellow, and magenta respectively). Users can toggle these layers on and off, access different basemap options including satellite imagery, topographic maps, and specialized views, and utilize selection tools to query specific areas or features within the riparian habitat data. The web viewer provides essential functionality for researchers, land managers, and conservationists to visualize and analyze riparian ecosystems throughout New Mexico's major river systems and watersheds.
